The Roulette Wheel is marked with numbers 1 through 36 and the symbols
“0” and “00”. The numbers are alternately colored red
and black. The “0” and “00” are green. Color and number
combinations offer a variety of betting options. Wagers can be placed on individual
number or groups of number.
Roulette chips are different from other casino chips. Each player
receives a different color chip in order to keep track of their individual bets.
The player decides the value of the chip when they buy in. Roulette chips are sold
in “stacks” of 20. For example, if you would like your roulette chips
to be worth $5 each, you would purchase a “stack” for $100. Since
roulette chips are designated for each individual table, you should exchange your
roulette chips for casino chips before leaving the game.
While bets are being placed, the dealer spins the roulette ball in
the opposite direction of the spinning wheel. Bets may be placed until the dealer
announces “no more bets” as the ball begins to drop. When the ball
falls into a number on the roulette wheel, the dealer places the marker on the winning
number on the table layout and pays the winning bets.
